Decided to recut this because I found some glitches in the Zero 3 footage and I was unhappy with the compression. Now in 4K, YouTube gives me more bandwidth so things look a bit better overall.

Episode Notes:

1. I put the capture info at the opening so you understand these comparisons can and do look different based on many factors. Your capture settings are a big one, as are things like resolution when capturing emulation from programs like MAME. Since I do not own tons of original arcade PCBs, unfortunately, I have to use emulation. In my current setup, I capture it straight from my arcade machine, which has a 4:3 1280x1024 monitor in it.

2. Primal Rage had a few issues in MAME where sometimes the fighters would land improperly.

3. In the OutRun segment the Saturn version is running in its smooth mode.

4. Many of the Saturn games look a bit darker than the arcade footage. That's just the settings of my capture equipment vs. the raw capture of the emulation.

5. I have already chosen the games for part 4 - a whopping 16 games in total.

6. I used the Japanese Saturn version of The House of the Dead in that segment. That's why the blood is green.

7. The music in the final comparison of Revolution X is from the Genesis version. I wanted to avoid any copyright issues.
