DM Notes: This was the closest anyone in the party had come to real death in the entire campaign. So when I later saw the banshee on a list of "extra-dangerous D&D monsters," I was entirely unsurprised. Also in this session I reveal that Common is Common throughout the world. I was honest when I said this was because of DM laziness at the time, but because my players pressed me on it I came up with a reason for it within 1-2 sessions. However, I wouldn't reveal this reason to my players until much, much later on.
