The Simpsons Bart's Nightmare - Sega Mega Drive Review
Released in 1992, Bart's Nightmare sat alongside some of the earliest games in the wave of Simpsons merchandise. Previously the Master System and Nintendo Entertainment System had 8-Bit games like Bart vs the Space Mutants (also released on the Mega Drive in the same year) and Bart vs the World, Bart's Nightmare and it's sequel, Virtual Bart, aimed to bring more of Springfield to the gamer.
The game is based around completing a set of mini-games, each successful mini-game yields Bart a piece of his homework. The more pages you collect, the better Bart's report at the end. The suite of mini-games means there's never a dull moment. You get introduced to a bunch of characters, scenarios and off-the-wall situations very similar to an episode of 'The Treehouse of Horror'.
