The Sims 3 - Tutorial - Widescreen And HD Recording
376This is my first tutorial so I hope you like it. basically I've been trying to figure out how to get my videos widescreen and HD for around 6 months now and I finally figured it out. It was all down to screen size and a few files missing or that needed to be changed.
HOW IS THIS DONE?

Since generations you have to manually set up your game.
go into the game option and change the screen size to 16:9. if it's still not widescreen go to local disk(c:), program files(X86) ,electronic arts (or origin game depending on where you got the game), sims 3, game, bin and copy the file called sims 3 (the one that looks like a note pad)
then paste it into local disk(c:), program files(X86) ,electronic arts (or origin game depending on where you got the game), showtime.
For HD go into the showtime/game/bin folder again and open the sims3 notpad thing. change the bit where it says large ect to this:
large = 1280,720
