Hello and welcome to BakieGaming.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to make a Seamless Pattern Wallpaper for in The Sims 4.
I will show you step by step how to change the texture of an original wallpaper to your own seamless pattern wallpaper using The Sims 4 Studio and Photoshop. I will also show you how it will look in game.
• What to do when using PNG files instead of DDS:
At 6.25 save as PNG instead of DDS by selecting PNG instead of DDS in the Format section.
Do the same for every wall height, so save as PNG instead of DDS. Afte that continu the tutorial.
You will need the following programs to follow this tutorial
• The Sims 4 Base Game
• Photoshop or Gimp ( In this tutorial I'm using Photoshop)
► Gimp download link: http://www.gimp.org/
• The Sims 4 Studio. Best thing to do is download the latest stable community tested version.

IF USING DDS INSTEAD OF PNG
► DDS Plugin photoshop: https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop

-- WARNING --
Some steps have been changed since this tutorial was made, if you follow these steps, you will get you wallpapers even faster:
-- Start of Tutorial --
1. In the main menu go to the build section, select standalone and click on build.
2. Click on the down arrow behind type to select which kind of item you want to make, in this case a wall.
3. To easily find the wall I was using back then, type 96f2 into the search bar, then select, click next, save and continu the tutorial...
-- Resizing Textures Part --
4. At 5:18 minutes I said we need to resize the textures because of the stretching in game. You can skip this part, go to 6:24 to save your textures (can also be saved as PNG) and go straight back to Studio as Studio has a very easy button for automatic resizing now.
5. At 7.31 before importing your new textures, be sure that the "AutoResize Textures" checkbox is checked. After that, import you textures.
-- Swatch Colors --
6. At 8.30 you don't need to go back to photoshop to get the right color codes. Just Right click the color swatch to get the eyedropper tool and move it inside the modelviewer on the left to get the color you want. You can also use the eyedropper tool on other swatches to get exact the same color.
-- In Game --
7. Another easy way to find your wallpaper is by using the search bar.
