The Sims Bustin' Out (GBA) Playthrough (No Commentary): Part 2

Now that we have almost gone through the tutorial objectives bits of the game, the game starts slowly opening up and we are free to explore the entire town of SimValley and meet everybody who lives there.
One of the biggest changes in the Gameboy Advance version of the game is how socializing works, in classic the sims you picked an interaction such as chat, joke, gossip, hug and depending on the sim's personality, current mood and relation to the other sim it will either succeed or fail. In this game you actually talk to the sim and pick dialogue choices which each is a type of choice similar to the classic way, you can gossip, compliment, joke, tell secrets, insult, call names and a bunch more. Each sim likes certain dialogue types, dislike others while some are indifferent.
So in order to succeed in conversation, you need to figure out what a sim likes and dislikes and choose those options whenever you need to befriend someone or vice versa. Uncle for example likes compliments, apologies, jokes and talking about interests while dislikes complaining, bragging, insulting and name calling. Some Sim’s likes and dislikes sometimes make sense but then there is the hippie guy who actually likes it when you call him names.
You can also tickle, hug sims and kiss sims of the opposite gender. they work more like the classic sims as their success rate deepens on your relation and possibly their personality. Sometimes they work and sometimes not.
To sum things up, figure out what conversation options a sim likes and spam them to make them like you and vice versa, tickle hugs and kisses and help but be careful of them as they can fail randomly.
On this part: We do not get beaten up by a large biker despite being rather rude to him, paint a motorbike with a brush and easel and move out of a chicken infested barn and into an old clock tower.
