Welcome to a more unique playthrough, this time we will be playing The Sims Bustin' Out for the Gameboy Advance.

The Sims Bustin' Out is the 2nd console version for the first The Sims released for the Gamecube, Playstation 2 and Xbox around 2003-2004. The console versions feature similar gameplay to the PC versions but with additional features such as a “Story” mode with objectives to complete, exclusive furniture and more.

The Sims Bustin' Out for the Gameboy Advance (and also the N-Gage) differs greatly from the console and the main entry as it plays more akin to an adventure game with light life-simulation aspects and a proper story compared to the Console versions.

You move into your uncle’s barn in SimValley and meet the various sims who live there, make friends and enemies and help them out with tasks which unlock new jobs, locations and even new homes to live in. In order to fulfill these tasks you must get promoted at jobs, buy furniture and learn skills while making sure you take care of your needs and relationships.

While you can only have one sim in the game, you have complete control of them rather than giving them commands like in the original, they are also immune to death as many of the hazards like electrocution, drowning and starvation only punishes you with a slap in the wrist as a genie will revive your sim after “passing out”, but not after pointing at you and laughing at your horrible fate.

While there is a lot to explain about the current happenings in this part, let’s not make this description too long for now and leave it for later.
