0Trying to forget our framing for the murder of Johannes van der Berg, we take a new case of a missing asylum patient, at the request of her brother. But the state of the asylum is dire, and the staff are less than helpful, going as far as to deny such a patient was ever there. The patients, however, are a bit more willing to talk, provided we can meet their requests. What they have to say, however, may not be what anyone wants to hear. Later, we go to speak with out benefactor, the elder Carpenter patriarch, tanking him for keeping us out of jail. But that's about all even a grand family member can do for us, so it's up to Reed to expose the killer impostor and clear his name. Our task takes us back to the Oakmont Chronicle, where not one, but TWO, side cases present themselves. And while one seems to be another glorified scavenger hunt, the other involves getting info for an article about a supernatural tiger, of all things. Sure, we don't have forever to clear our name, but surely there's time to get to the bottom of this feral feline phantom, right?
