Check out part 2 of my Xclusive Playthrough featuring the game The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles on November 15th, 2021. It was developed by Osome Studio and published by Microids.

In this video, Hefty is asked by Papa Smurf to search for more missing Smurfs at the Dam.

The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf is a 3D puzzle-platformer where you control one of several Smurfs and have to save the Smurf Village (along with its surrounding area from an evil plant created by the villainous wizard Gargamel: the VILEAF. The plant produces "viletrap" seeds, which can attract and imprison Smurfs while also being very toxic to the forest and the surrounding environment. Papa Smurf decides to take quick action and ask his fellow Smurfs for some assistance so they can deal with this danger as quickly as possible. Handy Smurf (the inventor in the group) invents a device called the Smurfizer which heals the toxicity from the grass and plants within the environment and allows the world to finally heal. The Smurfs are also sent on a mission to find three main ingredients for a cure that will completely destroy the VILEAF: the Agua Magnifica, the Pink Crystals and the Silver Hellebores. Once all of the ingredients are found, the cure can be created and the Smurfs are able to make their final push towards Gargamel's Hovel to finally destroy the VILEAF once and for all.

Given that this is a 3D platformer, it plays very similarly to other games within this genre such as the Spyro games or even Super Mario Sunshine. The player directly controls the Smurfs in 3rd person and is able to freely explore the various levels within the game's world. The primary tool that the player has at their disposal is the Smurfizer which is used to not only heal the toxicity created by the VILEAF, but also defeat the various enemies that pop up throughout the levels. The Smurfizer can be customized and upgraded by collecting various items within the game which can give the player different abilities such as a glide, dive and a vacuum. The game also includes 5 different worlds to explore and the player always has the ability to travel back to any level within the game in order to explore areas that the player was not able to before thanks to some of the new abilities. This makes it very easy to clean up any missing collectibles and achievements.

Finally, with regards to the achievements in this game: the game includes a total of 28 achievements for a total of 1000 GS. The achievements are a mixture of story-based and collectible-based achievements along with some miscenallenous achievements. There are also 3 achievements revolving around beating the game on a specific difficulty and one for completing the game with a 100% completion rate. Given the open nature of the game along with the ability to go revisit areas though the achievements should be fairly easy to get within a single playthrough. Also, last but, not least, the game itself should take somewhere around 10-15 hours to complete depending on how thorough the player is.
