My next Bro-Op Gaming series will feature the game Lost Planet 2! This game released on the Xbox 360 on May 10th, 2010. It is currently available to play on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles via backwards compatibility. It was developed and published by Capcom.

In this video, the mercenaries land in the Amaruba Jungle to capture a mine supposedly filled with T-ENG.

Lost Planet 2 is third-person shooter that is a sequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition that takes place ten years after the events of the first game on the planet of E.D.N. III. The planet's climate has undergone drastic changes that have produced radically different biomes and even some new forms/mutations of the indigenous Akrid creatures that have inhabited the planet long before the humans arrived. The various human factions that have decided to call this planet their new home are in an ongoing war as they fight for control of the planet's supply of Thermal Energy (known as T-ENG). The humans find themselves in constant conflict with the other factions, the Akrid and the planet's harsh conditions. They fight not only for their survival, but also to come out on top and take complete control of the planet.

The game's story is divided into various sections called Episodes. Each episode focuses on a different human faction (each with their own objectives, technology and methods) as they fight for their own survival and supremacy over the other factions. The various factions that exist in this game consist of: the Snow Pirates (which were the main focus of the 1st game), the New NEVEC ( a colonial military force), the Ex-NEVEC (a group of NEVEC defectors), Waysiders (mountain-based survivalists) and Vagabundos (a pack of desert bandits). The game includes a total of 6 episodes and the player will notice that some of the events intertwine as the game reaches its climax.

Lost Planet 2 doesn't stray too far in terms of gameplay features/elements from the 1st game as many of the same gameplay elements are present here. Players must fight for their survival within the harsh/extreme terrains of this alien planet while fighting off both the human factions and the dangerous Akrid (while using the T-ENG to replenish their health) and they have the ability to pilot mechanized armor suits (battle mechs) known as Vital Suits which can help turn the tide of battle. The game also includes a fairly big arsenal of different weapons and grenades that the player can use in their fight against the other human factions and the Akrid. The main use of the T-ENG in this game is slightly different from the first game: it's primarily used to replenish the player's health and power the various mechs along with some of the game's most powerful weapons. The player has the ability to customize their character (with different armor sets that can be unlocked through natural gameplay/progression) along with other things like titles and emotes. One of the best additions to this game (at least in my opinion) is the ability to play through the full game in 4 player online co-op. The introduction of co-op only adds to the chaos within the game along with some comedic moments that really add to the experience.

Finally, with regards to the achievements: this game includes a total of 50 achievements for a total of 1000 GS. The achievements here are a mixture of story-based achievements, progression-based achievements along with some that are focused on co-op and the PVP multiplayer mode. The story-based achievements are fairly easy to complete as they simply require you to play through the game, however, some of the other ones will require quite a bit of grinding. This actually makes the full completion a huge challenge as it will take 150+ hours to complete.
