The Solus Project | Oculus Rift DK2 | Early Access BUGS clueless first look (Hard) Windows 8.1
Note (SPOILER ALERT): After recording this video, I played for a short time and followed tutorial steps, but this first Early Access version of The Solus Project would not allow me to 'apply oil' to the torch no matter what I tried or how it was aligned with respect to the oil vessel (the orange/black combine icon simply failed to appear), which is why I didn't bother with another gameplay video at the time. This bug was apparently fixed in the v0.56 update for which I've recorded more recent Oculus Rift DK2 gameplay videos.
Sudden camera shifts are due to broken strafing. Attempting to move left or right via either keyboard 'A' or 'D', left arrow or right arrow; or left or right on left thumbstick resulted in sudden 90 degree turns instead of strafing motion. I couldn't read most of the in-game text because of my eyes - one of which is fair at best and one of which is bad. Most of the user-interface text I'd normally be able to read with my eyes inside Rift DK2 was very hard or impossible to read due to GUI VR bugs, which required me to remove DK2 and glance at the mirrored screen to read.
This video was recorded late Friday Feb. 19 but only went live today because it took ~24 hours to upload (after 5 hours of local processing) followed by 8-10 hours of Youtube processing.
