If we all Speak with our wallets, the game developers will have to listen. we the consumers, the gamers will decided what the future of gaming looks like based on what we do and do not support and purchase now. A long time ago in a gala --- game industry far far away.
People were being bled dry by microtransactions ,
over prices games , an groups of Evil overlords
came into power known known at the Triple A Studios.
They didn't have enough creativity to create stories
so they ruined the ones we already loved.
The people gave so much to the AAA Empire
they had to choose between putting gas in their
speeder bikes or food on their tables.
An uprising started to happen, small at first but growing
in reach as more and more people began to open their eyes.
Realizing they were not buying a new game created with
the care and respect their favorite franchise deserved.
No, they were being tricked into buying a generic game
set in their favorite Universe.
Gaining momentum soon these gamers game to understand they
should not have to but the same sports game very years,
and that for 70 Space Credits all fighters should come with a
fighting game, or at least be unlockable through gameplay.
Their final realization was that cosmetics and skins do
not add new content to a game or make it any more fun to play,
its just a way to create artificial player retention.
The Evil AAA Empire became aware of this, and struck back with
a bombardment of new games with promises to play early
if you pay them a little extra, but the Gamers resisted and did
not fall for this trick. What started out as a small band
of gamers coming together became an army or Rebels,
and that army decided to fight back.
Not with the weapon of the enemy
but with the thing the enemy loved the most, Space Credits.
The rebels struck a mighty blow to the Evil Triple A fleet
by simply not buying their games, and a few years later
what few leaders of the AAA studios were left
became what they always should have been, people who care
about their employees, who care about their customers,
and who care about games.
