Apollo 6 was an uncrewed test flight of the Apollo program and was launched on April 4, 1968. It was the second test flight of the Apollo-Saturn V launch vehicle and was intended to test the complete Apollo spacecraft and launch vehicle systems in Earth orbit. The mission encountered several technical issues during the flight, including engine vibrations and problems with the guidance and control systems, but overall was considered a success in advancing the capabilities of the Apollo program and the development of future manned missions to the moon.
