In osu!'s early era, South Korea were without a doubt the best team in the world, fielding legendary players such as Cookiezi (shigetora), Dungeon, sayonara-bye, Reimu-desu, Reisen Udongein, and many others. With such a strong talent pool of some of the greatest players of all time, this led to their immediate dominance over the osu! scene, culminating into 3 consecutive victories at the osu! World Cup in the years from 2011-2013. It seemed like nothing could stop them, until they were met with an untimely demise. For years, South Korea fought hard to return to rightful spot at the top of the osu! world, however, through a mixture of chaotic events, bad luck, and being outmatched in the final seconds, they always seemed to fall just short in painful fashion. Even after assembling a team of some of the best players in osu!'s modern era, for one reason or another, an OWC title seemed to elude them. With the countless amounts of struggle, and their incredible talent they fought so hard to recover, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before they could finally put all the pieces together. Yet, the fates seemed to turn against them when it all seemed to be working out in their favor. At every step of the way since their winning era, they were always met with a cruel fate, and it felt like their story would be riddled with heartbreak rather than triumph. But then there ensued a series of events so perfect, it seemed like it was destiny writing its course...
