Updates in the description below. Turns out the plot isn't as broken as I thought.

UPDATE: I have re-examined some things and found the story has less issues than I originally thought. Eggman sets his 24 hour timer before Shadow makes him aware that the cannon will take time to charge with only 6 Emeralds. So likely he won't able to fire when the timer runs out without the 7th. This gives him proper motivation to want the 7th. Though it is still too vague. Shadow should have said something like, "The cannon won't be ready by your deadline without the last Emerald."

Thanks to James Belnap in the comments, I've reconsidered my thoughts on Knuckles. His inclusion in the story is still a little weaker than it could be. But him actually being detached from the main story works well for him considering he's a loner. Check my comment thread with James in the comments. He makes a lot of good points.

The other issues with the plot I stated still stand though.

I cannot believe I got this under 2 hours. I thought for sure it would go over that. But I did cut out quite a bit. Sorry if some of the narration editing is a bit rough. I chopped out and rearranged a lot.

Also, my apologies for the inconsistency of my voice. I recorded most of this in a single 4 hour recording session, so by the end of it I was getting pretty hoarse. And I struggle to speak consistently in general. That's something I gotta work on. And I need to say, "You know," less. Jeez. I'd suggest playing a drinking game with that, but you might die of alcohol poisoning.

To be honest, I'm a bit worried about this one. With SA2 being so beloved, I hope I haven't brought upon the community's wrath by getting a bunch of things wrong or criticizing things unfairly. I did my best.
