The Plasma Rifle is one of the most recognizable weapons in Halo, but while it may have been a competent solo-performer in 2001, by 2004 the weapon was made useless by nerfs. It never recovered. So in 2012, 343 created the Storm Rifle to bring Plasma weapons back to their rightful place in Halo. And they succeeded... but was it too late?
