The summoner is available yet again in Trials of Osiris, with a new set of perks, and some are incredible. Its one of few auto rifles to roll with Onslaught, and shared only in archetype with the Ros Arago IV currently. But being solar it offers something different and very synergistic with the best Artifact mods and builds currently used in Destiny 2 end game PvE meta.
It can be used with the perk heal clip which just last week got a buff to provide cure x2 on activation. That is an instant heal of 120hp, and with onslaughts rapid fire and rapid reloads this will be activating all the time.
The combination of onslaught with overflow is another option to go, if healing isnt required a way to double the magazine size to really make the most of the maximum rpm is the way to go.
