Heavy GLs are back! And the shiny Bait & Switch Cataphract is everyone's goal right now, but there could be better (and easier to obtain) options. I was quite curious how the perk cascade point is doing in the current sandbox. It sacrifices extra damage per shot by instead just getting shots out faster, and with the huge inventory size buff heavy GL's received this bullet spam option will be all the better.
So the stats on cascade point: Its activated by landing crits or final blows with other weapons and when swapping to the GL it will have increased rate of fire for 2.5 seconds(2.75 enhanced). This rate of fire increase is a 1.6x multiplier or a roughly 40% RPM increase. 120rpm GLs will go to 200rpm while 150rpm GLs will go to 250rpm.
Cataphract can roll with cascade point too! So with this weapon you can have rolls with both cascade or bait&switch to suit the situation. Cascade does fantastic for getting damage out asap while bait and switch is available for total damage.
