17The Surge 1 and its sequel, the inauspiciously titled The Surge 2 are games in the Souls Like subgenre of Action-RPGs. They can be tidily summed up as Dark Souls if instead of swords armor and knights you had Cyberpunk weaponry Mech suits and Nanomachines. Both titles come from dev studio Deck 13, the same studio behind Lords of The Fallen. Released in 2017 and 2019 respectively, both titles are a few years on at this point. So the real question now is...in 2022, is The Surge series any good?
