The Thing (1982) is directed by John Carpenter, stars Kurt Russell, Keith David, and Wilford Brimley and includes a score by the one and only Ennio Morricone. While it's technically a horror movie (and really epitomizes the concept of body horror) it is also just an incredibly suspenseful, psychological thriller. Imagine the paranoia of not knowing who was human, who had been replaced by an alien, and who you could trust? Terrifying! And the setting in Antarctica only added to that. Watch me jump, cringe, and get grossed out in my reaction to my first time watching the film!
