Making a video game only sequel to a cult classic remake of an adaptation of a 1930s sci-fi novella all about a body snatching alien? sounds class!. For the next chapter of Jankuary, we are digging into Computer Artworks weirdly ahead of its time, survival horror The Thing! based on my second favourite horror film ever. Cannot wait to see how badly it gets butchered.
In this volume, following the mysterious Norwegian through the blizzard leading Captain Blake and his team to an abandoned Weather Facility. After the Thing overtakes his allies, Blake tracks the Norwegian into a basement where he mutates into a massive creature (full of all the Rob Bottin goodness) this leads to Blake discovering a secret underwater testing facility known as the Pyron. Blake discovers a mysterious conspiracy where the government may be working to weaponize the Thing, Blake tries to hunt down the man behind the facility, Dr.Faraday.
