The recent situation with famous esports team Team SoloMid had a lot of drama at first, and I didn't think I'd cover it on the channel. However there's been a recent development of TSM President Leena Xu speaking about player management issues concerning LCS player Dardoch on the phone on Doublelift's stream. I thought that the issue brings up interesting issues for esports, esports news, and esports business and I wanted to do a full breakdown on it.


We also see statements from Reginald, CEO of TSM and Leena. One of the reasons I wanted to do a breakdown is I don't feel there is a strong objective analysis of the Team SoloMid situation. There's a lot of emotion going around and I didn't feel like the news sources I looked at to see the TSM issue addressed it. So I decided to make one.


In this video we break down the situation, Leena and Reginald's statements, Dardoch as a player, how this relates to Riot Games, League of Legends, and the LCS. As usual I try to be objective and stay away from TSM drama, Leena drama, Reginald drama or anything else about it. Hopeful it provides some interesting insight into esports and team management that is uncommon without stories like this.
