We live in a world where folks pan making YouTube videos in favor of streaming, and multimedia meta talking heads tell these people to return to a platform they didn't care about because it'll help them grow a Twitch stream, instead of calling out Twitch for lack of support of its userbase. What's a veteran YouTuber to do? 😕

People need to rediscover a few things related to multimedia, the limitations of livestreaming, and the fact that a "dream job" of being a full time content creator can actually damage your prospects long term and hurt your ability to be creative with something you already like. 🙁

There needs to be a way algorithmically to differentiate recreational folks who are just making content for fun and folks with similar numbers who want to grow and build something up. Until that happens, the frustration will continue snowballing. 😕

I may sound ahead of the curve on this, but I'm sure there's some engineer under NDA who already though of this and is working on something somewhere. It just makes too much sense for these platforms to not be pursuing this. 🙂
