The Ultimate Doom (Sigil) | Part 2: A Cacophony of Crushers
1So far, Sigil lives up to the suggestion that it was made to be the canonical fifth episode of The Ultimate Doom. The level design reminds me of the fourth episode, Thy Flesh Consumed: an obvious challenge, but not too difficult for even players like myself who are barely more than amateurs at the game. Keeping a watchful eye for potential secrets, and a paranoid mind to prepare for traps, are both skills that will serve you well.

Considered by most to be the true father of the first person shooter genre, Doom was developed and published by iD Software in 1993 for DOS PCs. With the first episode of the game, Knee Deep in the Dead, released for free under the "Shareware" distribution model it quickly became one of the most popular intellectual properties to date, spawning sequels, ports, and reboots. The Ultimate Doom, released in 1995, updated the game's code and added a fourth episode titled Thy Flesh Consumed.
The second Spider Mastermind has fallen beneath a hail of bullets, rockets, and screaming-hot plasma. Although the space marine is eager to return to Earth and wipe its surface clear of invading hellspawn, something goes terribly wrong. Through the will of the Prince of Darkness, the teleporter network redirects their most dangerous foe to the darkest reaches of Hell. There is only one choice left: rip and tear through anything foolish enough to stand in his way!
