FOUNDATION : A NEW ERA OF ORGANIC CITY-BUILDING SIMULATION!
Foundation is a grid-less, sprawling medieval city building simulation with a heavy focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management.
The game features in-depth resource management akin to the Anno (Dawn of Discovery) series, expertly mixed with city building elements from Settlers, SimCity, and Pharaoh all topped with narrative encounters inspired by Crusader Kings II to create the ultimate medieval ant-farm simulation.
In this strategy city-builder economy simulation game, players must create a prosperous settlement as the newly appointed lord of a region untouched by man.
Setting to redefine the city-builder genre, Foundation puts the emphasis on the organic aspects of urbanism in the cities of old, powered by Polymorph Games’ proprietary game engine, Hurricane, which allows for full mod support and is optimized for the thousands of moving parts that come with building humongous cities.

In this "Aurathas Plays" series, I will be exploring Foundation gameplay and showing off some Foundation strategy. In addition, I will also be focusing on viable Foundation tactics throughout the game. This Foundation gameplay campaign will be a complete Foundation playthrough that focuses on everything from the colony building aspects of the game to the survival portions.
We will also be playing through all of the late-game scenarios that can potentially arise in a Foundation gameplay series, which will consist of Foundation gameplay that will see us dealing with the rising expansion costs and potential food shortages. We will attempt to utilize Foundation strategy and Foundation tactics against all of those challenges throughout the Foundation gameplay sessions in order to hopefully survive against all of those issues.
To survive a Foundation gameplay series, you will need to be able to mix up your Foundation gameplay, Foundation tactics, and Foundation strategy rather than getting bogged down or overly attached to one particular approach. Viable Foundation strategy or Foundation tactics will require you to progressively manage all of your resources as the game can defeat you by doing more than simply starving your people throughout the Foundation gameplay campaign.
Your Foundation gameplay can come to a crashing halt just as easily due to a lack of timing and patience as it can from having failed Foundation tactics and Foundation strategy lead to bankruptcy. Also, be completely prepared to lose throughout a Foundation gameplay series as this game is extremely brutal and a Foundation gameplay playthrough can easily result in an eliminated kingdom at the hands of even low-level challenges. In any given episode of Foundation gameplay we could be brought low by one of a number of different foes.
When possible, I will also try to provide Foundation tips and parts of a Foundation walkthrough and Foundation guide throughout the Foundation campaign.
