0American McGee Alice is the prequel game to Alice: Madness Returns that came out in the year 2000. It was included in Alice: Madness Returns as a Complete Game Add-on and offers 6 achievements worth 100 Gamerscore for completing the game. Due note that the graphics are considered retro and outdated for modern consoles. Also, the controls are not that well-polished but once you get the hang of them progressing through the game is not that challenging. The only thing I have a complaint about is the terrible platforming which causes me to die pretty much all of my deaths too :(
The Story: American McGee's Alice is a dark, twisted reimagining of Lewis Carroll's classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Set years after the original story, it follows a now-teenage Alice, who is traumatized and institutionalized after losing her family in a house fire. Trapped in a nightmarish version of Wonderland that reflects her shattered psyche, Alice must battle twisted versions of familiar characters and confront her inner demons to restore both Wonderland and her sanity. Blending gothic horror with psychological themes, the game explores trauma, guilt, and the struggle for self-healing.
