So there's this neat program called NotePerformer which acts as a sort of "translation layer" between really high quality sample libraries (which you'd normally use in a DAW) and notation software like Sibelius. They just released a major update which lets you now apply any sample library you want to its engine. Given that I have the original score to Music of the Spheres and that it the original was recorded at Abbey Road, I thought a fitting test would be to try Abbey Road One from Spitfire with it.

So yeah, string samples recorded at Abbey Road performing a piece that was recorded at Abbey Road. And no DAW was used in this at all. Pretty neat right? It sounds pretty good for what it is.
