Toy story is one of the most popular franchises in film history, spanning over 24 years. Have you ever wondered who the voices behind your favorite characters are? Bringing the toys to life and giving them unique characteristics was in large part the responsibility of the voice actors behind them. The creators did a great job of casting them, as most people can recognize the characters voices without seeing them. From Tom Hanks as Woody, to Tim Allen as Buzz lightyear. These actors gave it their all to create these beloved characters. And now we have another version of Buzzlight, with Chris Evans voicing the character in Lightyear.


There are four movies in the Toy Story series, spanning from 1995 to 2019. Over those years, a slew of actors have lent their voices to the franchise, with one character sometimes being voiced by multiple people, for one reason or another. The most recent movie, Toy Story 4, added a bunch of new characters, some of whom were voiced by big named actors such as Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. But the movie also had returning characters, such as Rex, Hamm, and Mr. Potato head. However, the voice of Mr. Potato Head Don Rickles passed away before recording for the movie. So how did they get his voice again?
