In this unique adventure game for PC/Mac/Linux, you journey to another planet and spend your life discovering its secrets in order to bring back your loved one.
The Way is a 2D puzzle platformer game inspired by classic titles like Another World, Heart of Darkness and Flashback. Upon seeing the remakes and re-releases of those titles, we realized that there are not many new games out there that offer similar experiences spirit and gameplay.
It's a real shame, because back in the day, those were some of our favorite titles and we still play them to this day! Revisiting these unforgettable retro games made us wish for something new, something that would deliver similar experiences and emotions. That is why we decided we will fill in this void, by creating our own game - The Way!
Without giving too much away, The Way tells a story about a member of a space exploration team who 'lost' his beloved and cannot accept the fact that she is dead. Having found ancient writings on eternal existence on one of his last expeditions, he decides to return to the alien planet to search for this 'Meaning of Life". He will soon realize that this planet has its own little secrets and problems, and that he will need to face them head on in order to get to what he is looking for.
