The Wii U, released in November 2012, ranks as one of the worst selling Nintendo home consoles to be released. It was wildly misunderstood, marketed poorly, and to many potential owners did not have a strong backbone of exclusive titles. Those factors, along with many more, have led to the console's demise in the retail market. Could the Wii U have succeeded? Was it just a bit too "out there" for consumers? Finally, can we sit here and realize how crazy it is that the 3DS is still being manufactured from the same company, despite it being an older console?!
