Greetings, everyone.

As of yesterday, Nvidia has released a new geforce driver which improves performance for Kepler based GPUs on the Witcher 3.

When the game first came out I made a video showing my performance on my i5 4690k running at 4.4 GHz and my GTX 770 (with no extra overclock).

Now I've made a similar video showing how much the FPS can improve with this new driver. I chose a similar zone to the one I used on my other video, still not exactly the same place but pretty similar since it's around the same region and all that.

As you can see, using the exact same settings we can now achieve greater FPS most of the time, averaging almost 50 FPS when running around and moving the camera a lot.

Foliage visibility is still the most hard hitting option for our FPS, we can manage stable 40 FPS with that on Ultra, but the difference from High is not that big, and we gain 10 FPS, so High it is.

Shadows can be set on Ultra if we want but losing a couple FPS for almost no visual difference is not worth it.

My PC specs are the following, by the way:

-CPU: i5 4690K@4.4 GHz (Turbo).
-Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger.
-GPU: Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2 GB with no extra OC.
-RAM: 8 GB DDR3@1866, 9-10-9-28.
-Storage: Kingston SSDNow 300, 240 GB where both game and O.S. are installed.
-O.S: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit with latest updates.

And of course the game is using the latest patch, which is 1.04 (remember that 1.05 is out sometime this week).

Hope this video is useful to you guys and if you're on a Kepler GPU (600 and 700 series, most of them) you need to get this driver : )

PS: Some Nvidia users have been reporting that setting PhysX on your CPU, in the Nvidia control panel, instead of "auto" or on the GPU, can improve FPS a little bit. Personally I don't notice much of a difference with these new drivers, but it doesn't hurt to try anyway.
