Greetings everyone.

Today is the day of the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, and since I’m playing the game (like almost everyone else), I’m making this short video-analysis showing how the game is performing on my system, which is as follows:

-CPU: i5 4690K@4.4 GHz (Turbo).
-Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger.
-GPU: Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2 GB with no extra OC.
-RAM: 8 GB DDR3@1866, 9-10-9-28.
-Storage: Kingston SSDNow 300, 240 GB where both game and O.S. are installed.
-O.S: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit with latest updates.

As we can see in the video, my GTX 770 is pretty much being destroyed by the game, something I was expecting. Nevertheless, it can still achieve Ultra settings at more than 30 FPS but since that value won’t stay fixed and will vary from 30 something to 40 something…we have to make some compromises and choices here: either lock the game at 30 FPS and “enjoy” steady –console level- FPS or have non steady FPS under 60 and it would get a bit jerky in combat situations.

I prefer steady FPS as long as it’s playable, but as you can see, 40+ FPS is doable depending on the settings and even close to 50-52 sometimes if we go “low” on the vegetation distance.

Overall, the 770 is what it is, a card that is almost 3 years old, so it’s not too bad and I can still play the game pretty decently considering things.

Hope the video was of any use for those of you looking for any sort of data with a similar system, and see you next time : )
