Siete novelas en las que el autor se esforzó en representar con el máximo realismo posible un mundo mitológico en el que hacían acto de presencia todas las criaturas de las fábulas polacas; y lo cierto es que lo consiguió, convirtiéndose en un éxito en todo el mundo, y ya contó con adaptaciones reales en su país natal.
