Two major releases on December 20th. Only one could be good. And I’m so glad it was The Witcher on Netflix. This is the 1st of a 2-part review where I discuss what I thought was good and bad about the 1st 4 episodes of The Witcher on Netflix. In short: outstanding performances, a wonderfully built world, stimulating sound design and cinematography, and (my favorite aspect) capturing the beauty of Sapkowski’s writing. It’s a good time to be a Witcher fan.
