How many Wolverine sequels were there actually going to be? Well did you know that originally after First Class, Matthew Vaughn was going to do a 70s set adventure with a new Wolverine actor and then planned on having Days of Future Past be the trilogy ender that would pass the torch between Hugh Jackman and the new Wolverine? How wild would that have been? How would that have changed the Wolverine character going forward? Would we still have the near-perfect Logan movie?

That’s not the only unmade sequel either. As far back as the 90s, people were trying to get a Wolverine movie off the ground, and it’s not hard to see why. Wolverine is one of the most popular X-Men characters and his attitude and backstory make a perfect audience surrogate. It’s why filmmakers like James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, and Darren Aronofsky all have been attached as a Wolverine director at one time or another. He’s super gruff, yet lovable and there’s something so fascinating about his journeys around the world. But the big question I’m going to ask is does Wolverine warrant a sequel? Or did we get a perfect ending in Logan and anything else would tarnish it? Honestly, it’s tough to say!
