The World Is Not Enough - PlayStation (2000)
1Third person view threw people off, so they went back to FPS mode with...mixed results. For some reason, in EA's infinite wisdom, they thought that it was JUST FPS GoldenEye that people were missing...but they didn't include multiplayer. That turns this into a strictly single player campaign, and I would argue that this was around the time that people started to notice how badly EA was reading the room. People think that EA started to have its reputation destroyed by greed, $10 add-ons, and rinse-and-repeat games, but that last one wasn't new. EA was quickly building a reputation for churning out licensed games that weren't complete or well thought out.
It's neat that they included a bit of interaction with the game's world and it's graphically impressive, but it's ultimately shallow.
