The World's First Ever Pikmin 776 Speedrun (Part 4) [WR]
1Recorded on July 19th, 2023, this is the archive of the first time anyone ever 100% completed the entire Pikmin Tetralogy (1-4) in a single livestream. While I had been practicing the 297 run (Trilogy 100%) over the prior months, this was also my first ever time playing Pikmin 4. I had pre-downloaded the game from the Australian Nintendo eShop, allowing me to open the game at 10AM EST on the 20th, fourteen hours before it released in my timezone. This ensured I would finish the run at the earliest possible moment. This is currently the world record in this category, though only because nobody else has done the run yet.
The run ended up taking 54 hours, 37 minutes, and 55 seconds, counting time spent sleeping, which I did two separate times. The rules for this speedrun allow up to an hour to be taken off your final time if you take a break mid-run, so the time displayed at https://www.speedrun.com/multipikmin/runs/zqjpx78m is an hour less than that time.
The run continued after that though, because since the rules for this category had obviously not been established yet, I wanted to make sure I got absolutely every collectible in Pikmin 4 before ending the run.
