The Writer Wizard Podcast: Skull and Bones Beta Review
2In this video I review my experience with the open beta of Skull and Bones. Skull and Bones is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft. The game is set to be released in February 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, and Microsoft Windows. A version for Google Stadia was planned before the service's shutdown. The game revolves around piracy and naval warfare with a fantastical setting in East Africa and Southeast Asia during the late 17th century, the peak of the historical Golden Age of Piracy. In this episode I talk about the recent video I made on the game Sea of Thieves. I also talk about the things the company Rare could do to improve the game moving forward. Sea of Thieves is a first-person multiplayer game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox consoles and Windows 10. The game was first playable during Closed Beta in the last part of January 2018. It was fully released on March 20, 2018 as a game for Xbox One and Windows 10, via Microsoft Store, and later became available through Steam on June 3, 2020. It was also one of the earliest first-party games released for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, the game features cross-platform play between Xbox, Microsoft Store, and Steam. Character, currencies, and progression is synced across platforms using the player's Xbox Network account.
