The Xbox Third Party Rumours Are Getting Weirder…
167Even a few days ago it seemed all but certain the Xbox Third Party rumours were all but confirmed. Since then it seems like Xbox insiders have attempted to back track. Is this genuine, or is this a mixture of coping and being scared of their own fans / Microsoft?
I wouldn’t be convinced by anyone trying to downplay the third party stuff. Microsoft have a vested interest in stringing Xbox users along as they make 30% of every purchase. Even if they are 100% moving away from the Xbox console as their main priority, they won’t be upfront about it.
The “business update” is likely going to be something we will have to read between the lines on. It will likely suggest Xbox isn’t going anywhere, but if there is an obvious trend of all of their games going to other platforms the writing will be on the wall.
