This week on TheFIX, host Seán Duggan takes a look at an essential layer technique in Photoshop: the use of layer clipping masks and clipping groups. A clipping mask allows you to take advantage of "masking without a mask", using an underlying layer's transparency as a virtual mask. Clipping masks can be used for applying adjustments to specific layers, or for interesting and useful compositing and design effects. At the beginning of the episode there is also a short follow-up to last week's show on the new Guided Upright feature in Lightroom CC: we take a quick look at how this feature is implemented in the 9.6 update to Adobe Camera Raw in Photoshop CC.
