Discussing Rareware (aka RARE), the most prominent developer for Nintendo.
Based in the UK, RARE created some of the greatest exclusives for Nintendo consoles
in the 1990s and early 2000s including Donkey Kong Country 2, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and Killer Instinct. Some of the members that worked on Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark eventually released the classic TimeSplitters series as "Free Radical Entertainment". During the 6th generation, Rareware was bought out by Microsoft to release games for their systems instead of Nintendo but failed to produce any classic must-have titles since then.
