In this part E2M2 Containment Area. This level is noteworthy for the introduction of the berserk pack. This item is identified by a medkit that is colored black with a red cross on it. This item gives you 100% health and more importantly makes your fists super strong so you can save ammo and punch enemies within reason unless you have acquired an invulnerable sphere don't try to punch out a baron unless you are a masochist. I reacquire a chainsaw in this level which is useful against a new enemy you also will start encountering in this level and every level after this one the lost souls which are flaming skulls that fly at you and scream. They can be a huge nuisance if encountered in large groups but one at a time they aren't that dangerous. It is a good thing you acquire a chaingun in this level because it will be useful against Cacodemons in the next level. Another item that is very useful in this level the soul sphere because it will also help against the cacodemons. As always I played through this level in Ultra Violence skill. I didn't kill one enemy in this level because I couldn't find him but I did manage to acquire 100% secrets. In the next part E2M3 Refinery.
