Originally, this boss was more like a coin collection boss, there would be 3 phases and the player has to collect all the coins in order to beat these phases and the boss itself at the last phase while dodging projectiles and riding on platforms, but it wasn't truly how the original boss from Rosenkreuzstilette was supposed to be, so it got an overhaul. Here, the player has to throw the bombs at the boss where it goes along on railings which changes when hitting the floor and ceiling, while dodging him and the falling stomped rexes and projectiles. It also has a desperation mode where more projectiles will appear when hitting the boss often enough, after the boss is defeated it ends like usual but with an added effect where the boss is beaten.
This covers both the normal mode and hard mode for this boss.
