75Several months ago, naoki yoshida spoke about final fantasy 17 and if it would return to a turn based game. Yoshida spoke about turn based games and their appeal. He said that personally if you want a turn based game, it would make more sense for the graphics to go more of a pixel graphic direction. He clarified that this didnt mean final fantasy 17 will have pixel graphics. He adds that taking graphics as far as final fantasy16, it wouldn't be wise going back to something like pixel graphics for the main titles. Yoshida clarifies that there isnt a right or wrong when it comes to the type of final fantasy game wanted. He states that final fantasy 17 will have a different development team, different direction, and a different world. This is actually something that nomura spoke about in the past. A final fantasy isn't a game that has one fixed direction and that the best person to create final fantasy is someone who isnt complacent with the current final fantasy. I loved hearing this because it means that ff17 wouldn't be like ff16.
