Let’s be clear: those running the show in Portland—politicians allowing this level of chaos—are failing their cities. Protesting is one thing; trampling the law and breaking into secure facilities is another. And ordinary folks shouldn’t have to arm themselves defensively when officials ignore the threat. I’m critical of these Portland politicians who let radical protesters take over, and fully support law enforcement in restoring control and protecting public safety.

In Cash Jordan’s video, rioters allegedly force their way into a migrant detention center, demanding “Every illegal walk free,” while citizens—fearing looting or violence—resort to self-defense with tazers in places like libraries.

Instances of anti-ICE protests have escalated across the U.S., including arrests outside NYC’s Federal Plaza immigration court, where protesters claimed ICE operates inhumanely and demanded access for officials—though authorities denied conditions were inhumane.

In some areas, protests led to lockdowns. For example, Sacramento saw its immigration court locked down when protesters tried to storm the building during a suspected ICE operation, led by immigrant-rights groups.
