They re-used THE TOAD CODE (Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, SNES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
1,237Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is now available on the Nintendo Switch Online! Originally for the SNES, this game was pretty darn hard - comparable to the first Battletoads on NES if I remember. And just like the first game, you can use The Toad Code in this one to start the game with 5 lives instead of the normal 3!
On the title screen (when the game displays the Battlemaniacs logo) hold Down, A, and B and hit Start. You will notice the flag on the next screen flicker a reddish color.
Now start any game mode, and your 'toads will start with five lives! You do not need to re-enter the Toad Code when you continue!
