Beorn, King Dain, and the Vine-Regent of Dorwinion have fallen in battle. The dwarves of Ered Luin turn to greed, raiding the High Elves and men of Eriador. The once docile clans of Enedwaith wage war on those residing in Cardolan, and attack the elves in Harlond. Gondor is under siege, and the foul snow orcs in the north run rampant across the anduin vale and ered mithrin. In these dark hours, Gandalf the Grey rallies a host of Dunedain mounted on sturdy horses as a beacon of hope for the free peoples. First the witch realm must be cleansed.
