This Boomer Shooter Is Finally Out Of Early Access! | Wrath: Aeon of Ruin - Part 1 (Hollow)
5Hello everyone! After almost 5 years, this game has been released from early access. This is Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, a boomer shooter I bought 4 years ago, but I decided to wait until the full release to give it a try, and now the time has come. It has a pretty good boomer shooter retro look, and music is dark and atmospheric... Sadly, it never starts kicking in, so, if you are expecting for some headbanging experience when the big battle comes, you will be disappointed. Shooting gameplay is smooth and there is a nice variety of guns (I still haven't seen them all), but movement and jumps feel weird (I like the dash though), it feels like your character keeps moving once you stopped. Level design is open worldlish... kinda... You jump into a level, which is quite open, and you explore it the way you want, but you will still have a specific final objective/door to access to.
The final release counts with 3 main bosses, which means, 3 main areas. I am still in the first area, and I have to clear 5 portals to face the first boss (I am guessing), so there will be a nice amount of hours here. This video covers the Hollow level.
