This Cozy City-Building Game is Cute & Addictive ~ Minami Lane Review
"Minami Lane" is a charming indie game released on February 28th, 2024. This cozy management simulation lets you build and manage your own street and shops, did I say streets? I meant street, you manage one street, and after you're done, you either continue managing that street which makes it a sandbox mode, of you can move on to the next challenge. So practically this game lets you choose, full-on cozy, or simulation?
The first thing that really stood out about this game was the art style, I love the cute aesthetics and pleasant colorings of the game, and the second thing that stood out was. The price. I love affordability. The art style already hooked me, the price is 4 USD, it's a no-brainer, I copped it, no hesitation.
Developed by a small team of three, they've simplified the city-building genre to make it potentially addictive, once you've figured out the mechanics, it's pretty much an arcade game, and becomes rather intuitive. You build shops, manage the shops, which involves juggling recipes and price. And you aim to please young or old people, or both, which you can make by building houses. You can also beautify the areas with parks and attractions.
