There's this one challenge in Fallout: New Vegas, it's not specifically for any achievement and serves no purpose other than being just another thing you can do to test your skills.
The challenge is actually part of a DLC you need to pay for, meaning that not only is it not necessary, but you need to pay for the privilege to "unlock" it in your Challenge Menu.
The challenge is one of those easier said than done, even though it doesn't even sound that easy at all.
For this challenge, you are tasked with defeating 5 Deathclaws with Boxing Tape, Switchblades, basically the weakest of weapons to take down about half a dozen of the wasteland's most unfriendly inhabitants.

Now, like I said it isn't necessary for any kind of achievement in particular, but if completed can help in an achievement for completing 3 challenges of this difficulty.
Because I wanted to 100% Fallout: New Vegas and therefor unlock all of the achievements, I went for that one and chose the Deathclaw one as one of the challenges I would complete.
Naturally I tried to do it the only way I could think of at first which was take every single endurance and strength damage chem I had and try to Rocky III my way through a few.
For those who don't know what a Deathclaw is, it's kinda almost all in the name.
It's like 12 feet tall, sharp teeth, sharp horns, long sharp claws, they have really tough skin and have more health than a small camp.

Now yes, that idea didn't work, like even in the slightest, but I had one more idea that was equally strange yet 10 times more effective.
One of the weapons you could use is actually a ranged weapon, although it was and kinda is the weakest in the game.
The challenge, however, only stated that they must be defeated with the weapon, but not only with the weapon.
So I used a super powerful explosive ranged weapon to get their health really low and then hit them from afar about a dozen times with the weak weapon until they fell.
Then just repeat that process 4 more times, all the while trying not to alert more and then boom, challenge completed.
All and all the whole process from start to finish was about 3 hours but I finally did it.

I would rather do that challenge if you had to defeat 300 Deathclaws than play Getting Over It.
